My Go-To Summer Drink This Season

In these last few weeks, as the weather has gotten warmer, and the days longer, I’ve found that the drink I crave most often after a long workday is a nice, refreshing Paloma cocktail. The simplicity of this drink makes it really easy to put together, especially when I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to put the work in to something super complex. This particular recipe uses only 3 ingredients but has maximum flavor. Make this drink for just yourself, or, when we’re ready to have people over again (!!!), setup an assembly line for guests to make their own!

 THE PALOMA:

3 oz. Grapefruit soda
2 oz. Tequila or Mezcal
.5 oz. fresh lime juice
1 lime or grapefruit wheel for garnish
Sea salt to rim your glass
 1.     Wet the rim of your cocktail glass with your lime or grapefruit, then roll the rim on a plate filled with your preferred sea salt (my favorite is rose sea salt!)
2.     Fill your glass with ice. Combine the grapefruit soda, tequila, and lime juice to the glass and stir.
3.     Garnish with a lime wheel or grapefruit slice (I usually use half of a wheel). Enjoy!
